In 2009, building on more than 30 years of trade into the region in the supply of formulated Agrochemicals, nutrients and additives for Animal Nutrition, and specialty Rubber and Coating raw materials, our group established an office and warehouse to service our local customers. Our team of market focused, technically trained staff developed product ranges catering to Personal Care, Home Care, Industrial Cleaning and Food Ingredients.
In 2020, Carst & Walker extended its presence in East Africa through the acquisition of a well-regarded distributor focused on CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers). Carst & Walker also services Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, and Ethiopia.

Building on over 90 year’s Group experience of supplying Gum Rosin and Rosin derivatives, we complement these materials with a diverse range of hydrocarbon resins, rubber elastomers, waxes and additives for all applications including hot melt, PSA, and contact adhesives.
Coatings & Inks

AGRICULTURAL CHEMICALS
We have been supplying range of Trace Elements which are FEMAS certified and registered under the Feed Hygiene Regulations for both the animal feed industry and for use in fertilizers, as well as a range of both Technical and Formulated quality agrochemicals.

FOOD INGREDIENTS
Our office is in Nairobi, from where we service the East African region with quality ingredients for the food industry, these include such items as cocoa butter, cocoa mass, cocoa powders, cocoa liquid, colouring foodstuffs, caramel colours, specialty fats, modified starches, concentrated dairy and non-dairy flavours, herb and spice extracts, citrus oils, essential oils, flavours, oleoresins, hydrocolloids, enzymes, probiotics and various other ingredients on request.

Products from our Anchor Chemicals facility in South Africa, serves mainly the Rubber Industry and include rubber to metal bonding adhesives, anti-tack solutions, powder blends, release aids and factice.

Our sub-segments include Cement Additives, Pressure Sensitive, Hot Melt, Flooring and Contact Adhesives. The portfolio includes Antioxidants, Hydrocarbons Resin, Monomers, Rosin Esters, Rubber Elastomers, Water Based Dispersions and Waxes (Micro, Paraffin, Polyethylene).

BHT is the go-to antioxidant and our range of organic acids, organic acid salts and preservatives provides the wood preservation industry with many formulation options to replace more traditional technologies. For Resin Production, we offer a portfolio of process aids and intermediates including heat transfer fluids, antioxidants, catalysts and monomers.

Our innovative ingredients and solutions for Personal Care, Home Care, Institutional Cleaning, and Pharmaceutical applications. We have established ourselves over the past 90 years as a significant distributor into the Homecare market with Forest Chemicals: Pine Oil, Gum Turpentine derivatives, Terpenes and associated products. In addition, we source Coal Tar, Iodoform Compound and Chlorocresol in small and large packing, as well as difficult to find ingredients for all pharmaceutical products.
